A New Look for Enduring Impact

CITEC has a legacy spanning nearly 40 years, evolving from its roots in several programs at SUNY Potsdam in the mid-1980s. In 1991, we became the Council on International Trade, Technology, Education, and Communication (CITTEC) before joining the Manufacturing Extension Partnership National Network about a decade later. Though the organization shifted between various New York State divisions collaborating with the federal program, its core mission has remained focused on advancing manufacturing in both New York State and the United States. Around ten years ago, the organization's name was streamlined to CITEC, Inc.

bbg logoOur logo has also been part of this long standing identity. Last year, our board and staff began exploring the idea of updating both our logo and our name. Throughout the year, we have engaged in discussions about our mission, vision, core values, and core competencies—delving into who we are as an organization within our community. These conversations also touched on branding and how our brand should reflect the work we do.

We’ve been guided through this process in partnership with Plattsburgh-based Boire Benner Group. While final decisions haven't been made yet, we want to let you know that changes to our visual identity are on the horizon. We remain dedicated to helping our clients succeed and to fostering a vibrant North Country economy, with a refreshed, contemporary brand that aligns with our mission in today’s world.
