Serving as CITEC's Board President has been a relatively easy way to make a difference in the North Country region.
The Board has the fiduciary responsibility to make sure the organization uses its funding judiciously to further our mission and vision as well as meet the requirements of our largest funding partners in the MEP National and NYS Networks. Currently the organization is on sound financial footing under solid leadership with a strong team. This set us in the perfect position to do some strategic evaluation and planning at our annual meeting, which will be the focus of the next year.
Our newly revised Mission, "to help our clients succeed" under the Vision of "a thriving North Country economy," is simple and straightforward, and our strategic priorities are outlined to strengthen our ability to meet the needs of North Country businesses. The MEP National Network has recently completed some strategic planning as well, and has developed three priorities for the next three years: Narrow the Workforce Gap, Mitigate Supply Chain Vulnerabilities, and Leverage Technology.
Serving on this Board is a great way to help shape economic growth in our region. If you are interested in participating, please reach out to me at our Board Development Committee Chair, Andrew McMahon at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
